ONA, Overseas National Airlines

Overseas National Airlines (ONA) was essentially a charter air carrier. It started in 1950 and it ceased operations on September 14, 1978. Among their former stewardesses was, Arnelle Meyer, now Author and Blogger who is writing about her experiences including two crashes, one major crash in a DC-10 at JFK.

I’m excited to have been chosen to design her book cover, but in the meantime we’re doing other stuff. This includes a postcard, T-Shirt design and Mouse Pads. All going to former employees and fans of this classic airline.

First, I had to recreate the ONA logo with illustrator. There was no other way around it. Luckily, i found a matching font that closely resembled theirs, that saved a ton of work and time.

Complete Branding Package for Ergo

Ergo by PaddleAir is a surf product designed to relieve pressure from the upper torso, including the ribs and chest. Dave needed a modern touch to his brand to help increase sales, and it worked!

Products & Designs Included:
Business Cards, Vertical-Fold Catalog, Letterhead, Envelopes, Mailer Sticker Labels, T-Shirts, Price List, Magazine Advertisement, Animated GIF, Avatar and Social Network Cover.

Additionally , Rib Rocket™  logo for Dave’s new product. Prior to Rib Rocket™, it was called Ergo Extreme. Below you will see sample logos prior to the renaming of the product.

Custom Mouse Pads

When i mentioned I was printing custom mouse pads, i was asked, “people still use them?” In fact, yes and much more than one thinks. Even a ‘smart’ mouse needs a mouse pad to effectively work. So custom mouse pads are still a great promotional item and create a buzz.

If you’re a roller ball user like myself, there’s no need for mouse pads, but they’re still cool and make great gifts!

the Unexpected Spotlight

There’s no better, fuzzy-feeling, than to find a random design on unexpected products– or in photos from event photographers. Designs spotted are a DUBSTP tee for Groove Riders, several tee designs for Don’t Panic Designs that found their way onto buttons, plus a dry-erase memo pad I found at Urban Outfitters on Melrose, I had to buy it :P. Also blunt logo placement and banner design for MCMC’s Grapevinez Drum n Bass Events, and finally the Atwater Syndicate logo taken at a club in San Francisco.
